  Can I select 0 stars? This is a far-out church. I thought I was in a Protestant church by how the Mass was conducted (July 2). Fr. Dan is one of those priests that preaches acceptance of the gay lifestyle, even though it goes against all the morals, values and doctrine of the Church. There are no kneelers and the house band plays typical Romper Room music that fills these modern churches today. I would not recommend this church unless you're a closet Protestant looking for weak Catholic doctrine.

  I have no idea why the previous review was so harsh and overly critical. It must by why he chose not to share his identity. Fr. Dan is a man of integrity and lives out his faith every single day. He is willing to meet people where they are at in hopes of bringing them to Christ. He believes in the doctrine of our faith and preaches about it just about everyday. He loves all of God's people just as Jesus asked us to in his final words "love one another how I have loved you." While he loves all, he will not perform same sex marriages nor go against any other fundamental teachings of the CCC, period. And by the way, we like no we LOVE our music and the amount of effort that is put forth to provide a truly wonderful experience during mass. When I am traveling it is one of the things I miss most!!

  Honesty, I really like kneelers, too.
  But my husband and I weren't in Ohio when this parish was built.
  At Holy Angels, the kneelers are in our hearts and minds, but also in our Mercy Chapel which contains the precious body of Our Lord Jeus Christ. Holy Mass is said either in this chapel or in the sanctuary every day. Through the grace of his Roman Catholic priesthood, Father Dan lives the Gospel message and brings the sacraments to untold numbers of Catholics.
  
  Our holy catholic apostolic church continues right here in Bainbridge to be a hospital for sinners by offering Baptism, Reconciliation, the Eucharist, Confirmation, Holy Matrimony, the Sacrament of the Sick, and the encouragement needed for anyone considering a vocation to religious life, encouragement for anyone seeking hope. These sacraments are available for the three thousand families at our parish, and Father Dan never hesitates to leave our church property to provide the sacraments and his presence wherever there is need of God's mercy.
  
  Father Dan, our beloved pastor, tirelessly devotes his entire life to every aspect of our humanity, and much like an Emergency Medical Technician, tends to be the first one on the scene of our personal disasters. In the past five years since moving here, we've personally witnessed him visit our Mother when she was homebound with late stage cancer, and rush to Hillcrest's ICU when our Dad suffered respiratory arrest, and be at the scene of Chardon's tragic high school shooting in 2012, and lead both local and regional Retrouvaille weekends, helping hundreds of married couples rediscover happiness together as God intends, and provide a neighbor's baby grandson Baptism immediately post-partum when the doctors expressed concern that the newborn might not survive, and visit the home of a young man who had just committed suicide, not because Father Dan knows exactly what to say or do, but because he cares for each of us as if we were the only one that matters in that moment. Truly, this hardly begins to put into words how our priest, and how so many like him, lay down their lives continuously.
  
  As he courageously lives out his vows, he has our prayers and our support.
  The Church of the Holy Angels deserves 5 Stars from our family.
